Members
Any individual or organization that complies with the GBA Ethics Statement and Code of Conduct can become a member. Members vote for GBA Electors and can earn GBA Tokens, which carry voting rights on ballot initiatives proposed by the Governance Working Group.
- 02
Electors
Twenty-one Electors are chosen by the members and in turn elect the Board of Directors. Becoming an Elector requires endorsement by two-thirds of the Regional Leads, Working Group Leads, Executive Committee, Board of Directors and other Electors.
- 03
Board of Directors
Responsible for strategic direction and oversight of the Operational Team, and for ensuring GBA satisfies its legal, statutory and regulatory obligations under the GBA Bylaws.
- 04
Operational Team
Appointed by the Board, the Operational Team supports members in chapters and working groups. The Executive Director convenes monthly meetings with working group and chapter leaders — three calls each first Saturday, so leaders in every region can attend.

Distributed autonomous governance
